What's Happening

Greetings Veterans Memorial Middle Parents and Stakeholders! 

Veterans Memorial Middle School will hold candidate elections for parents/stakeholders who are interested in serving on our School Council Team. The purpose of the Council is to bring parents, school employees, and community members together to create a better understanding of and mutual respect for other's perspectives and share ideas for increasing student achievement and performance. 

Members will include four parents/guardians of students enrolled at Veterans Memorial Middle School, two of whom shall be business persons (there is no requirement for the business-parent member’s place of business to be located in  Newton County or for their place of business to be a Partner-in-Education with the school), so that parents make up a majority of the council, Two teacher members and the Principal.  If you are interested in serving in one of the aforementioned positions for Veterans Memorial Middle School, please complete link below to run for an elected parent/guardian/stakeholder position on Veterans Memorial Middle School Council. Candidate forms must be submitted by September 9, 2026. Official elections will be held September 10-15, 2026.

Under the Open Meetings Act (O.C.G.A. 50-14-1 – 50-14-6), Veterans Memorial Middle School will hold elections for the purpose of electing parent/business representatives to the School Council. This election will be held online September 10-15, 2026 between the hours of 8 a.m. -4 p.m.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

Infinite Campus Online Registration (OLR):

Families with students who are NEW or MOVING BACK from another district to Newton County Schools are now able to electronically enroll using a fast and simple Online Registration (OLR) process through Infinite Campus. Each household can submit just ONE application for ALL their student(s). The school(s) registration staff will contact you to finalize your child’s enrollment.

You may complete your online application for enrollment using the new Infinite Campus Online Registration (OLR) Application.
